WEEKLY CLASSES
MONDAYS 10a-12 noon | Mixed Media & Collage
If you love mixed media collage and art journaling, this class is for you. Maud Aretz, the lead artist, gives a weekly prompt as inspiration for the project of the week. Students then create collages inspired by the prompt using scraps, ephemera, and other found objects. A fun and very therapeutic activity to start the week. We have tons of ephemera to share. Materials provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own set of tools i.e. glue, scissors.
MONDAYS 12:30-3:30p | Painting with Veronica Kortz
Professional artist, Veronica Kortz, an art instructor for more than 30 years, leads this class. Bring your project (any medium) and Veronica will guide and assist you to complete or improve your painting. Veronica is prolific in oil, acrylic, and egg tempra. Bring your own supplies and projects to work on.
TUESDAYS 10:00a-2p | Tuesday Painters with Wendy Macdonald
Learn to paint a medium of your choice and fellowship with other artists who are passionate about improving their craft. There will be two critique sessions per class. Participants share their thoughts and learn from each other. Wendy Macdonald is the lead artists and "keeper of keys". Bring supplies and your lunch as class is from 10am to 2pm. Join anytime and at any level.
WEDNESDAYS 7:00-10:00p | Life Drawing with Lee Smith
Develop and master figure drawing with an undraped professional model. Class instructor and lead artist, Lee Smith, will be available for guidance and to answer questions. Join anytime at whatever level. Drawing boards are available. Bring your own materials except for oil paint or noxious solvents. We generally do 5 to 20-minute poses, sometimes shorter or longer. $12 for LHAA members and $15 for non-members. Class fee includes Model fee of $10.
THURSDAYS 10a-12 noon | Watercolor with Alan Liang
Learn from master Alan Liang, an amazing loose watercolor painter! He typically demos in each class and participants learn from watching his techniques and from his tips on how to create loose water color paintings. Bring your own materials but we do have materials available if you forget. This class is for everyone, beginner or beyond.
