I started painting seriously at the age of 12 when a friend of my mother, who was an artist, introduced me to the wonders of oil painting, and I launched directly into a portrait of "Twerp" my dog. I've had the good fortune to study under several excellent professional artists and have participated in numerous painting workshops. I paint in oils still, but my focus the last several years has been on watercolors.
My work has been exhibited at various galleries in Southern California.
I've belonged to several Art Associations. While a member of the Orange Art Association, I co-produced their "Paint the Towne" plein air competition, sponsored by, held and exhibited in the City of Orange, for three years. I am currently a member of the La Habra Art Association.
