History of the La Habra Art Association | |||||||
The La Habra Art Association was founded in 1955 and incorporated on September 12, 1994. LHAA is dedicated to promoting the appreciation of fine art in our community, providing exhibitions of local art, and teaching art to children and adults. In January 1955, twenty-nine charter members formed the La Habra Art Association with sponsorship from the La Habra Junior Women's Club. The La Habra Arts Association first met in the city library, then in the city Arts Guild Building on Whittier Blvd. Finally in 1969, LHAA settled into is present gallery location on Orange Street. Through the loyal, dedicated efforts of members and friends, the Association has continued to serve the community, increasing the appreciation for art while promoting and supporting many fine local artists. |
